Jeff Wang,
Ph.D., PMP
Dr. Wang is the founding president
of Lifestronics, Inc. of Raleigh, North Carolina, a business
infrastructure solutions provider and a contract research and
development powerhouse.
Dr. Wang is a business leader with
a proven track record. He founded Lifestronics,
Inc. in 1997. Which provides Information Technology infrastructure support to half a
dozen small businesses. His expertise
includes supply chain management and commercial real estate. He
excels in helping startup and existing businesses establish business
operations infrastructure and improve efficiency. He provides
design, architecture, implementation, and support services.
Prior to his tenure in
Lifestronics, Inc., Dr. Wang served as a program manager at Nortel
Networks in both commercial operations and Information Technology infrastructure
department. He saved over $2.5 million annually by leading projects on
product commercialization and supply chain optimization. He helped
Nortel gain
competitive advantage by leading several strategic IT projects on
Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) computing environments, e-Business system architecture and
deployment, and worldwide computer system upgrades.
Prior to Nortel Networks, Dr. Wang
worked for Lockheed Martin and served as the EDI technical support
manager for USEPA and the system manager for the USEPA Scientific
Visualization Center. He built and managed a state-of-the-art
computing facility and helped USEPA scientists utilize the
computing facility to increase productivity and efficiency of their
research projects. He also served as a Webmaster and Oracle DBA for
the center.
Dr. Wang has a very strong contract
research and development background. At Lockheed Martin, Dr. Wang
led several scientific visualization projects to visualize
scientific data related to human lung morphology, flow over the crop
leaves, MM5 cloud, ozone, GIS, and emission modeling. Dr. Wang led
the HPCC technology transfer project and was one of the developers
in the EPA's models-3 project. He also participated in human exposure
and indoor air pollution projects.
Prior to Lockheed Martin, Dr. Wang
served as a project leader of high performance computing and
business system development at the MCNC/North Carolina Supercomputer
Center. He was the co-developer of the North Carolina Air Quality
Compliance system. He was in charge of emission modeling and
computer collaborative works.
Prior to MCNC/North Carolina
Supercomputer Center, Dr. Wang was the project leader in Pacific
Environmental Services, Inc. He was the co-author of Industry Source
Complex (ISC2) and work assignment manager for several EPA work
assignments.
Dr. Wang has a M.S. in Computer
Science and a Ph.D. in Atmospheric Science, all from North Carolina
State University. He is also a certified Project Management
Professional (PMP). Dr. Wang received a B.S. from Nanjing University
and a M.S. degree from Zhongshan University in China. He speaks
three languages fluently: English, Mandarin, and Cantonese. He also
served as an assistant professor and computer lab manager in
Zhongshan University, Guangzhou, China.
